At Inmotion Orthotics we are committed to providing cutting edge assistive technologies and our Orthotists are trainned Mollii Expose therapists. The Exopulse Mollii Suit is an assistive device, providing a unique, mild, low frequency electro-stimulation therapy via a comfortable 2-piece suit specifically programmed to the needs of the individual.
The Exopulse Mollii Suit is designed to relax spastic, tense and aching muscles safely and simply thus helping those with spasticity and motor impairment.
The Exopulse Mollii Suit is used as a therapy by people with cerebral palsy, stroke, spinal cord injury, acquired brain damage and other diagnoses that lead to motor disabilities.
Jared and Grace are Exopulse Mollii trained therapist and are experienced in fitting, programming and assessing if the Exopulse Mollii suit is a suitable medical device for their clients. The first step once it has been determined that a client may benefit from the Exopulse Mollii suit is to fit complete a number of repeatable baseline measures. Then the wearer is fitted with the suit and an accompanying control unit which is then programmed to the specific needs of the individual during a professional assessment by a Exopulse Mollii trained therapist.
Electro-stimulation treatment progresses for a period of 60 minutes, targeting the specific muscle groups via the antagonist (opposite) muscles. This prompts lasting, natural reflexes such as Reciprocal Inhibition, to relieve muscle tension, imbalances, spasticity and other motor disabilities, thus improving range of motion, function and activity.
These baseline measures are then repeated to see if there was any benefit from the suite. If there is a measurable benefit, then your treating Orthotist ( Jared or Grace) will determine in consultation with the client and their healthcare team if an in home 4 week trial should be completed.
